In May 2012, the Shell Eco-marathon Europe was held for the first time at its new home, the Ahoy Centre in Rotterdam – and on an urban street course rather than a racing circuit.
As part of a multi-disciplined Imagination team, I was one of the digital creative leads responsible for overseeing RFID integration, which allowed all visitors to scan their ‘Lab Pass’ and create their own personalised content as a souvenir pages accessible from the SEM the microsite.
I also provided creative direction for the Facebook game, and ensured a consistent use of illustration style throughout the entire event, from online through to the event itself.
The most complex project I’ve ever worked on, and in turn, one of the most satisfying.
